Measure
We measure the gum pockets around each tooth and take X-rays to check the bone.
Deep clean
Under local anaesthetic we clean below the gum line to remove hardened deposits and bacteria.
Re-check
After a few weeks we measure again to see how your gums have responded.
Maintain
Regular maintenance cleans keep the disease under control.
Recovery and aftercare
Gums may be tender for a few days after a deep clean. Keep cleaning gently, including between your teeth. Smoking makes gum disease much harder to control, and we can help you with quitting.
